Yesterday my 8th grade son recieved the "President's Award For Educational Excellence" - it's actually signed (not copied) by Obama! I'm not a huge fan, but he is our president! So proud of my son. Looking at the month of June on this year's calendar, I noticed that my oldest child's birthday falls on Father's Day, again. He will be seventeen years old! When the big day arrived back in 1993, that baby was ten days overdue. The little munchkin was a bit too comfy in there! Of course, I felt more than just a little uncomfortable. It's like a monsoon out here! So far it has rained for five days straight, with the worst yet to come. I know we are spoiled when it comes to the weather most of the time, but give me a break! Tuesday we even had a tornado watch. I have kids and dogs that need to go outside... Not to mention the 2 inches of rainwater that was INSIDE my husband's PRIUS!
